This Sunday night (October 2nd) there will be an amazing guitarist playing just a few songs at the Coppertank. He'd play more, but it's open mic night. This guy just plays an acoustic. And by play I mean he smacks the shit out of it and makes it sound good. Think Michael Hedges or Kaki King. Probably more Kaki King than Michael Hedges. I just heard him play a few songs at the ol' luthier's workshop and he's astoundingly good. He says that Don Alder might show up, too!
