ever feel like you're wasting too much time?
spent most of yesterday bored out of my brain tyring to find something to do..... i struggle with weekends sometimes, i have a general inability to chill the fuck out.
saw dave chapelle's block party and it rocked my world. i'm going to see it many times in the cinema before it ends. just awesome. the highlight for me is jill scott talking about eraka badu who's performing before her, and the interviewing asks is she nervous about going on after her, and jill just looks over the top of her sunglasses and says "have you seen me perform?" wicked.
just to get by, by talib kweli has solidified as one of my favourite songs. i need to get it on vinyl. preferably two copies. great lyrics too, once you look em up. seeing him do it again just brought back memories of him rocking the good vibes festival....
it's 11 degress this morning. *shivers* bought myself a leather jacket on the weekend though, decided i couldn't go another winter without one. it's pretty fuckin ocol actually. found it in glebe markets, tried it on and it just FIT. which is rare for me. and it's heavy and smells and sounds like leather. and according to the label, "any blemishes...show the lifestyle of the original animal." i'd love to know how. i thought most cows lifestyles involved standing around eating grass looking bemused and farting alot, but perhaps i was mistaken. good thing i'm not vegetarian.
can't wait to get to the states later this year. think i'll just go to the US now, i'll have four weeks. any suggestions on what i should do? seeing music, buying records, and looking for work are the main priorities, in that order too.

I know, things are strange in my world right now. The feeling of contentment scares me. Content just doesn't seem... I feel like I need to keep growing.
I am working on my writing a lot... just not posting any of it. But I will soon and thanks for asking!
