i love my postman.

just when i think some guy on ebay has ripped me off, i am awoken by a cheery double ring on my old style doorbell and there he is wearing his 80's wrap around oakleys, short shorts and a grin, and holding a box of records. what a way to start the day.

this morning i got 30 (!!) james brown 45's in the post, gonna clean 'em up good in the kitchen, some of them have layers of dirt and grime on them, get some new ultra smooth slipmats, and then funk it up all night long. i've got to get out of and get some gigs again now.

i wanna know the history of some of these records. about 3/4 of them are original pressings from the late 60's and 70's, some of them have the tell tale signs of being in a jukebox, but how many people have owned them and played them. how many people have "shaked their money maker" to them before they were sent from america to my door step to be delivered by my smiling postie?
