another massive weekend of booze cigerettes and laughter.
spent two days at the cricket, yobbing it up with some friends of my flatmates. i dig how i can cruise between different groups of friends at the moment. one moment drinking shitloads of beers and hurling abuse at english people at the cricket, next moment supping cocktails with bartender friends or watching a play or going out clubbing or playing nerdy board games or trawling second hand bookshops with my girl or going sailing with my dad. sydney rocks. australia rocks.
my whole language changes though after a couple of days hanging out with the boys. i catch myself slipping into this country slang. my favourite term at the moment is "unit." in particular a loose unit which is a bloke who is a bit unhinged or drunk. there are also big units (fat blokes) and rough units (ugly women), but loose units remain my favourite's, it can describe so many variations of insanity from being a bit dumb to being a swinging pissed bar brawler. he's a loose unit that bloke.
got to get a digital camera to share some of this stuff. there was so much laughter at the cricket, it really is a hilarious day out.all the singing, sledging, and swearing that goes on.... there was a bunch of english lads that were for some reason wearing lederhousen standing right in the middle of the hill delighting in taunting the australian crowd. the ashes are going to be insane next summer. apparently there was a riot at the cricket on friday, so there were cops everywhere on both the days i went. big fuck off nasty cops too. riot police standing around just looking for a chance to hurt someone... but when you're at somewhere as craazy as the cricket, only the worst most hidiously drunk people get thrown out.
rehab is needed though.
back to work.
i may or may not have spilt water all over my keybioard at some stage over the weekend. i think i got home late on saturday thought i'd check my emails, next things i know when i try to type this morning it comes out lksdjfpiotuwklmer. don't drink and type
ps.
april is hot.
that is all
