Hunter in the Dark

Night time,
My time,
A time to hunt,
A time for killing.

Silent as the wind,
Stalking unseen,
Tracking my prey,
Coming closer to death.

To my prey I am God,
Striking like lightning,
A storm of fatality,
My fangs bring the end.

The door swings open,
I dart into the warmth,
My prey is forgotten,
A cat has other priorities.
