Welcome to the Madhouse!
Today I finally created my profile. I do not know where this will lead me, but am looking forward to wherever this will go. I will be using this as just a place for me to put down my thoughts and ramblings of a man who is just a little odd. But I do hope that whomever reads this finds it entertaining.
Am I the only one who notices that the classic "sawing a woman in half" magic trick is totally idiotic and disturbing? The magician brings out a beautiful, perfectly healthy woman on stage and proceeds to hold her down and dismember her. Why? For his and the audience's amusement? Because he can? Then after he has done it, he puts her back together again....it is completely fucking counter productive. If you put her back together again, why do it in the first place? I have never seen a version of that trick that gave a reason, except for one. It was an old recording that I saw on TV. A magician dressed as a sleazy doctor, and proceed to chloroform a woman on stage. He then lay her on a table with a huge buzz saw above, which proceed to saw a deep gauge into her stomach. She started screaming and blood and bits of flesh started spraying into the audience. When she stopped moving, the magician left the stage , leaving her there without "putting her back together". It was disturbing, bloody, gory, and random...but it at least had logic and told a story. I just wish more magicians would follow that example.
I hope those who read this at least found this interesting. Thank you for reading, and hopefully this will give insight into what makes us the men we are today.
