So, I forgot to set my alarm last night, which meant I reaaally slept in and was an hour and a half late for work.
On the plus side, when my lazy ass got out of bed, I was greeted by a message on my cell phone from a firm I sent my resume to a few weeks ago, asking me to come in for an interview (!).
It's for a QC/Proofreading position, and I'm trying not to get too excited about it just yet (hell, I don't even know what compensation for it is, just that it's got to be more than what I'm making now). It's tough to not get excited though, this doesn't happen often with the job market here in Pittsburgh. So my interview is next Thursday. I guess this means I actually have to go out and buy a suit that fits. Or at the very least, a sportcoat or something.
There's the one downside to currently having a job with no dress code - I'm lacking in the really nice clothes department. This couldn't come a moment too soon - now that I'm on "The Insider/Entertainment Tonight" shift, I may go insane from all the bullshit celebrity gossip I'm forced to endure for my job.
The girl on the shift right now is leaving for another job she just got; perhaps I can follow in her footsteps in a few weeks. Knock on redwood trees.
