Oh my, gigs gigs gigs.
The Kills were hideously bad on Friday night. Shame, as they were astoundingly good the last time they passed through Glasgow. This time they were distorted beyond the realm of melody, and the fuck-the-audience attitude seemed affected rather than natural.
Last night was better. My friend Dec played a set of great Weegie laptop rap to a crowd of almost double figures, The ever-wonderful Kirby blew folk away with their Sleater-Kinney/Elastica/Undertones pop stylings, and Even In Blackouts played a great bunch of semi-acoustic East Bay pop punk, all the way from sunny SanFran.
Tonight I have more local pop-punk to look forward to, from old favourites The Day I Snapped, who haven't played in alomost a year, The People's Alibi, who have a great name if nothing else, De Kuntz, who don't, and wee Dec and laptop once more.
Thursday will be the gorgeously decadent Dresden Dolls, and beyond that I really don't care. That's my life this week.

Keep having fun. I'll keep being envious.
