Scared a whole lot of people last night. Well, not 'scared' so much as 'freaked out'.
It was the 21st birthday of one of my closest friends. All bets for the planned night out were off, mostly for reasons of him wanting to take on the mighty stack of birthday-present-alcohol he had received in one mammoth drinking binge. Thus myself, he, his girl and my ex-girlfriend downed the lot in the space of three hours in the confines of my flat.
Heading out to the Cathouse after polishing off the drinks, folk were a tad confused to see me and my ex out drunk, dancing and laughing together. Especially so given that my girlfriend wasn't there (being at work).
Most of my circle of friends didn't even recognise my ex (she's been away in Oz for a year), and thought I was cheating on my girl with some random stranger.
Mostly people got a shock when the DJ played some Hipster Daddio and the Handgrenades, and me and my ex cleared the dancefloor with a full-on swing dance session.
Not many of the Glasgow rock club punters see that sort of thing often.
