Last night was awful. I went out for a friends 21st. We went to Broad Street in Birmingham. Anyone that knows Birmingham will know exactly why I had an awful night. For a start I had to wear shoes. I only own two pairs of shoes. One of which are my work shoes, which I ended up wearing. Secondly I was totally sober due to my ban on substance abuse (which incidentally has been successfully in force for over a month now). Thirdly, I love the girls - i've known them since I was 8 - but we are just on completely different wavelengths. I.e. I hate everything they like. Good start.
We started in Revolution, where we had a little rnb fest. Yay. I do love fat sweaty men thinking they can bump and grind. Seriously. It's hot. I rushed to the cigarette machine and bought sixteen over priced Marlboro Lights and got a bottle of water and sat crossed-legged on a brown leather sofa. For the entire duration that we were there. We had a brief stint in Bar Risa where to my complete joy there was a salsa night in progress. We almost got kicked out as my 'friends' were dancing like quadrapleges on acid with poor latino rhythm.
Then we went to Walkabout. I knew it was bad as soon at we walked in and 'The Weekend Song' came on. Two girls started stripping on podiums using pieces of blank paper as a prop. 'I'm filing. I'm filing. Look at me. I'm filing. That's why I can't wait for the weekend.' The music was horrendous. I stood in the corner being accused of being a moody bitch by every passer-by. A guy came up to me and said 'hello baby, you got a boyfriend?', to which I replied a highly unconvincing 'yes' and he just said 'oh well' and walked off. Ten out of ten for direction. The only thing that made me laugh all night was when Amy headbutted Stel (the birthday girl) in the nose whilst dancing and gave her the hugest nosebleed. They were all so wasted and ended up flapping around so I had to take control and ended up covered in blood. Yack.
I'm supposed to be going out for late breakfast with them but I really can't be bothered to sit through them gradually remembering every drunken stupid thing they did. I was there. I saw it all. I remember it all. I didn't find it funny.
Yes I know. I'm a moody biatch. I'm tired xXx
