So, I got a Cease & Desist Demand from a law firm representing Prema Toy Co. Prema Toy Co. owns the copyright to the character Gumby and now finds that my website, ChurchOfGumby.com, is somehow infringing uppon their good name. I dealy the gumby term for the CoG does not refer to the little green clay guy but to the definition found in the new hackers dictionary ( http://jargon.watson-net.com/jargon.asp?w=gumby ). Honestly I don;t know how I'm going to deal with this. If I had a job I'd consider seeing if I could fight it, but I am sorly lacking the funds to pay a lawyer to find out if I have a leg to stand on or not.
*sigh* I guess I'll probably have to comply w/ their demands and close a door on this particular era of my exploration of Discordianism. Though the fuckers don't hold the copyright to CoG, so I'll just enter a weird three letter stage of maddness just like TSR did ages ago.
