I have come to the realization that I absolutely love deploying with Group, but despise being home with them.

I look forward to weekends more here than I did in Iraq. At least in Iraq, there was a point.

I think I am finally partied out. I'm ready to be a grown-up again.

Well, a crashing and burning of adventure finding was narrowly avoided thanks to Twitter and RockinRicky. A brief summary of my evening since the last blog:

• Found out that a place with food in Capitol Hill on Thanksgiving night apparently does not exist. I forget which neighborhood I found my dinner at. It was crappy "gourmet" pizza. Pizza should never be gourmet.

I am in Denver tonight and until Sunday. Hope it's as fun as last weekend.

Off to watch Penn State and Michigan State vie for Big Ten Supremacy.

I think you all know which side of the fence I reside.

Unlike the rest of the year, this is the first time I get to watch the game with beer and wings--the way God intended it. Plus, I found the spot for expatriate Nittany Lions in Denver.
