Well, I sent off my applications for not just the Colorado Springs campus of University of Colorado, but the Denver and Boulder campuses as well. I've just got to wrangle my transcripts from... SIX? Sources... Sheesh.

I've already asked on SGCO, but any info on UC-Boulder or Denver's Psych programs would be appreciated.
bailey:
dude! go to denver and ill apply and we can be campus friends!

Those Rangers tickets sold out FAST. So I'm looking at online scalpers... yuk.

Other than that, I have been playing the hell out of some Spore. The predatory carnivorous Higglings are running AMOK!

shocked
alkaholic23:
a few years back i used to have bruins season tickets 4 rows up from the glass, then came a rash of pay cuts. once in awhile i still fly out to other cities to catch a game with friends or other members.

i just looked at prices for seats at madison square garden, jeezus.

Single season tickets for the New York Rangers go on sale in a little over 24 hours.

I'm going to see them play the Devils at the Garden on December 27th, and the seats are going to be good, goddammit.
cheyenne:
and this is why you rock.

I sent my mom that picture of me on my trip, and she replied with....

I bought a ton of music yesterday. Much better than the last time.

Ceremony Still Nothing Moves You and Who Killed Amanda Palmer? by, well, Amanda Palmer are wonderful albums. I still have to go through the new Young Widows, Portugal. The Man, Subways, and Gym Class Heroes albums.

Music keeps me sane.

It's halfway through September. That's awesome.

Multiple threads...

Red Planet.
It's another one of those days. Heeding the call of nature, I walk out of my trailer of blue light into a deep red. Total Recall comes to mind immediately. The palace that serves as our chow hall is a mere 200m away, but you can barely see it. This has been the dustiest summer I've been in Iraq. 2003, 2007...

I am, 23 hours of the day, in good spirits. I've noticed that it doesn't take much to get me sent off in a grr direction, but then I can pull myself out with something just as easily. It's a roller coaster after the fourth month, that's for sure.
bailey:

Seven years ago today, my road I followed took a dramatic turn. I was asleep on my friend's couch when his roommate, Robin, woke me up. My mom was on the phone. "Dennis, turn on the TV. We're under attack." The first tower was falling as the picture came on.

Everyone was in a daze. I was only an hour away from the city, close...

This song is a new addiction. It's very cheesy, I know, but I can't help it. I'm a sucker for Michael Franti.

Four months. It took four months for me to start getting the stupid deployment melancholy. That point where you start seeing things that aren't there back home with friends and with perfect strangers. When something vague that probably has nothing to do with you sounds like something that makes you want to fight someone. Normally it comes on a lot sooner, but that's because usually...

Wow. I actually got nine, count 'em, NINE hours of sleep last night. I am sure once I actually wake up, I'll be refreshed.
