Watching Mona Lisa Smile last night I found myself amused at the observation that, while women were asked to take on roles tradiltionally given to men during WWII it's absolutely unbelievable that anyone actually expected them to go back to thier "traditional" roles when it was over. I mean, WTF? After finally being allowed to fully embrace what it meant to be a part of the workforce, who the fuck decided they didn't now have the option to CHOOSE what they wanted? Ignorance at it's best - once you show someone something new, different and potentially better, how DARE you take it away from them and remove any power of choice. That's bullshit.
I was also taken by the ability women have to take care of each other emotionally. To show thier love in simple and deep ways that the majority of the male population appears to be unable, or unwilling, to. The last scene there was just beautiful.
