When my grandmother died last year we went through the very odd collections that she and her husband, Forest, had saved in the last decade. Among the glass figurines, stamps and dolls, I found this picture. As you can see, its Bob Hope and some other performers entertaining the troops in what might be the Korean War. Wow. Bob Hope!

Now look at the back of the picture...




Everybody was a Nobody at some point in his or her career.

I love being reminded of that.
