Today's election day. Yipee. You'll have to excuse me. Reddy McRed State is not exactly enthused with the election. You know, I actually saw a campaign commercial the other day. 
Halloween was boring. I didn't really get any invitations, so I volunteered to give out candy for the family so they nieces and nephews could have adult supervision. There were probably ten different bags full of goodies, and four trick or treaters came by. Oh what shall I do with the rest?
So I was thinking about signing up for that NaNo thing. I know I'll get crap, but I thought it might be interesting to expand on my horror story. Well, I sat there last night trying to put reach my daily quota of 1750 words, and I couldn't even get half way there.
I'll try to make it up over the weekend.
I did get a page or so out, though. I think my opening line was too strong, though. I was going through Spider Jerusalem's advice that "[writing] is a gun." I don't know if I gravitiate towards ugly imagery because I want to invoke a reaction, or because I'm a hack.

I've wanted to change my name for a bit. And now I have the goal of becoming a SG one day, so I figure if I change my name to what I'd want it to be, it just motivates me more. If any of that made sense at all.
