And once again I crawl back from the abyss. I got shit done this weekend. I did finish that big project in the last five minutes, however. Once that gets sent off, I'll only have to worry about the cumulative on Wednesday.
Okay, enough with the boring stuff! All right, this is still going to be boring, but I shall tell you the saga of the DVD player. Back around November, my sister's (the unmarried/childless one) DVD player broke. She had friends coming over for the weekend, and there was some stuff they were going to watch together, so I loaned her mine as I had my PS2 to watch movies. Soon, it was Christmas, so I got together with my brother and got her a DVD player. Eventually, I asked her for my player back.
Here's where it gets interesting. We agreed that I merely lent it to her. We agreed it was my sole property. She said, "You already have one, so I'm keeping them both." After some time of alternating abuse and neglect, I decided to seek a compromise. I'll have her give me $50 (more than that piece of crap is worth, to tell you the truth) and I'll use the money to buy that DVD/VCD player I've been wanting. Itll be here any minute.
What else is going on? Ummmmmmmy brother and I have a new practice. Weve been playing pool and chess at the same time. We do crap at both, but I think we come out even at the end of the night. God Im boring.
Im not sure if Ive ever discussed my brother here. We have a bit of an odd relationship. Hes eight years older than me, and we had never been that close until relatively recently. Ds simultaneously the most interesting and annoying person I know. He collects Glocks, Beanie Babies, and Cigars and is oddly judgmental for a Hispanic Wiccan in his 30s. Still, hes smart and annoyingly witty. One day, Ill put up his screen play ideas. (The best is something like Bruce Almighty with a biiter, satirical edge.)
God I need sleep.
