Back from the deep a.k.a.- spending time with my family. Interestingly enough, we never found Easter to be that big of a deal...except my mom. She would go all out with baskets that would often make our Christmas presents seem trivial, huge hunts, and gigantic dinners. Although, looking back it may have all been a plan to get us to church with as little fuss as possible.
Every year, my mom comes up to my adult sisters and I and claims it is now time for the easter egg hunt. We always tell her our ages, scoff at her, and tell her it's time to put that tradition to bed. Then she tells us how much money she hid in those little plastic eggs and it turns into a Darwinian fight to the finish. *sigh* Good times.
