So I realized something disturbing the other day. My political views border on the libertarian. What's so bad about that? Sure, it's not exactly a mainstream line of thought, but if it is what you beleive, right? Well, I'm have an unfortunate pragmatic streak. I could never bring myself to vote for someone just because it will make "a statement." There are few things that bother me more than token involvement in politics. That's why I'm not going to vote in the next presidential election.

But Pomfelo, you ask (like anyone is reading this), how can you complain about politics when you don't get involved. Well, take a look to the left at my location. Texas. Unless some sort or virus speads through the state targeting only those with conservative views, there is no way that Texas' electoral votes will go to anyone but George W. Bush. So if I like Bush, voting doesn't matter as he will get all of Texas' votes anyway. And if I don't like Bush, voting doesn't matter as he will get all of Texas' votes anyway. So nothing I do will make a difference. I guess you'll have to excuse me if I don't get too excited about the joy of democracy.

There you have it. I am intensely concerned about the state of the nation, and my activist options are limited because I live in the south. Yee haw, motherfucker.
