My hair was REALLY long, and everyone was getting pissy about me going to get it cut. (Texas long is shorter than everywhere else in the country, but whatever.)
I went to get my haircut at one of these fancy spa kinda places.
The dude is cutting my hair, and I make a joke about how my family will talk to me again, now.
Which prompts the dude cutting my hair to go into this whole thing about how he understands because his father was military and he knows what it's like to be estranged and never to be good enough.
He sums it all up by telling me, "It'll get better."
