I'm sick of it. SICK OF IT!
Some of you may or may not know I work for my family. Okay, no biggie. The thing is, my family is full or horrible, horrible people.
You know what? They had a bum deal. They had awful, abusive childhoods that gave them warped views of the world. That is awful. You know what it's not?
My problem. It's not my fucking problem. I'm sorry you have an awful father you still have to deal with daily. Suck.
My father? Not a perfect man, but he's a good man. He did not do horrible things to me or give me impossible standards to live up to.
For one, one of my cousins had a weird blow up at me this past week. I don't respect him, I'm lazy, I hate work, and I hate him for working. To start. He said an off the cuff, innocuous joke I made weeks ago about an article of clothing he was wearing was my was of saying I hate him as a person.
We actually had counselors in the room at the time to (I thought) stop this kind of thing. They told me it was a big growth moment for him to air things out.
Because I thought ONE of us should be an adult, I calmly told him he brought a lot of things up, that I respect him, and that I look forward to working with him in the future, and bit my fucking tongue.
So they all seemed to respect that. I was praised by the counselors for how I handled the situation and setting a new example to everyone.
Rewind. Look at that. I didn't have a childish blow up and reacted like an adult, AND THAT WAS A PRAISE WORTHY SURPRISE!!!
Okay, so the next few days after that, things got a bit better. They seemed to take more care talking to me and included me in this day long project tomorrow.
So my reward for getting though a minefield intact is to be invited to go back through the mine field! So now, I get to spend time around them with this constant feeling that ANYTHING I say will lead to the next blow up!!
I'm just so tired of it.
Yeah...facebook. I don't do it. You know why? I've gotten three messages from it. Two of it were people from high school it would be horrendously awkward to talk to. The third I got today.

Hey! [REDACTED] and I are in the process of planning the 10 year reunion and we need your address so that we can send you a Save the Date card! If you could send it to me via facebook message or at [REDACTED], that would be very helpful!
The date is December 26th and the venue is the [REDACTED].
We are also hoping not to have to charge anyone for admission so if you own a business or have some great connections we still need more alcohol, food and entertainment!!!
Hope you can make it!

Go fuck yourself facebook.
(And I just realized I can't tell them that because the event is a block from where I work, and we may be involved. Fuck you all.)
EDIT EDIT EDIT
I just realized that facebook invitation was even more insulting! A month is relatively short notice for a reunion where people would be scattered across the globe. I just realized, my company will have to do something to do with it.
They weren't going to invite me, believed I may be able to get them a price break, AND SENT THIS INCREDIBLY SELF SERVING BEG FOR MONEY!! Motherfuckers!!
and strangely feeling just a wee bit better
