Continuing to update.

Ugh, swam hardcore-ish today and now I'm tired but not sleepy, you know? On the upside, I finally picked up some goggles, so my eyes aren't burning like hell anymore. So, I've got that going for me.

I went to the Can't Stop the Signal event the other day. It's a showing of Dr. Horrible & Serenity for charity. There was a costume contest, and I got conned into buying some signed Joss Whedon fake money. Charity.

A few points of data...there was a costume contest, but it was Sunday at 9pm, so only two people showed up in costume. So to keep it lively, the hot MC grabbed random people out of the audience to be "guy from that episode in jeans."

Also, the auction was a bit anemic...people were just damn cheapskates.

And in Serenity, there's a character who is well dressed, clean, and a bit of a dandy named Simon.

So I bid on something in the auction, and when the MC recognized me, she called me "...guy in the Simon outfit who didn't come down for the costume contest."

Just walking around everyday I look like someone in costume. That's one of those life reassessment moments.

I would have been more offended, but she actually called me the "CUTE guy in the Simon outfit..." Then she got me to up my bid by promising to hug me afterwards.

I should have asked her for her number.

To be fair, she was from Dallas or somewhere. It was a good hug though. *sigh*

That was boring. Seriously, somebody ask me something.

Everybody had fun. I got some play money from Firefly signed by Joss Whedon. (It looks like it says *Jess* Whedon, but still.) I owe bluevalentine a round.
