Watched Dirty Dancing tonight for the first time in at least ten years, never noticed the grotesque reference to The Fountainhead before, very sad, because it is the perfect book for someone young trying to get over the thoughts of suicide, not a good book in my opinion to live your life by though. The virtue of Selfishness sounds great until you realize that there are so many other people living under a lot more worse circumstances than I (and U) had to endure, while it is true that Ayn Rand would say altruism feeds off the less fortunate (to a degree, I think that is bullshit though), Propagandhi would say "That's exactly why privileged fucks like me, should feel obliged to whine and kick and kick and scream, until everyone has everything they need." I love Ayn Rand for giving me what I needed at the time, but no way in hell could I ever live my life thinking about only myself. Altruism is not dead, nor should it be. Chivalry is not dead, nor should it should be. Treat people with respect, spent way too many of my years not doing so, wish I could take back them years. Maybe then I wouldn't feel like Steppin Wolf when he was 50 and I'm only 33, or as my father would say c'est la vie.
Anyway, I stopped by to say I have your glasswear so let me know how you'd like to reclaim it.
cheers
