For Boston, For Boston...
I really love this city as a city... it is absolutely beautiful here, there is always something to do and a lot of fun to be had. SO MANY PHOTO OPS, but who the hell designed the skateparks? They all look like some developer trying to get rich quick and everyone bought into it. There are some decent places to skate like Newburyport which I'd have to go 45 minutes to ride, and while Marblehead, Braintree, and Quincy are skateable they still suck. I can't wait until the Charles River Skatepark is finished but I don't think I can stay here this long. The people in this city that I have met are way to pretentious and self-centered. When I meet people here like that I thank god I grew up where I did 'cause it wasn't Cleveland where everyone had the same attitude, like they had something to prove. Whatever happened to being nice to people that you didn't know, that was what was col about the skate scene, it wasn't like what brand are you riding, it was just about hanging out and showing everyone the cool local spots, everyone pushing each other 'cause it was just fun. Even on SG, to join the local SG group you have to meet this criteria and that....been born with this or that, or from this hood or that. Fuck the bullshit, stop being so exclusive!!! I mean, if you really want to subjugate and separate, your deal is your deal, but isn't that the reason we broke away from the ethnocentric belief of England. Kind of funny, we know of the same type of ridicule and beliefs in New England. Every now and again though I meet people here that reaffirm my belief or misconception that people really want to be nice to each other, like the other day at Dropkick Murphys, had not been in a "pit" in years, and I was so happy to see everyone took care of each other and made sure noone got fucked up, that is the way it was supposed to be.

I've worked up and down the east coast from Boston to Tampa, I've lived a few of them too, but I have never met any nicer and accepting people as those I met in Richmond, VA.
