What you say makes a lot of sense in most cases. This person is so popular and has so many people clamoring for her attention that I don't think it matters to a lot of people that she may be unsafe.
I have several old school Domme friends who are appalled at what she did to me and what they see as a general disregard for safety on her part. That's all well and good. The truth is, that even if a few of her play partners and admirers see the light and fall by the wayside, there will still be scores of men who'll continue to worship her and hope to play with her.
I know that this sounds crazy, but this person is put on such a high pedestal that this is actually the case. I didn't want to play with her because she's young and beautiful. The truth is that she couldn't shine Lyrical's shoes when it comes to those things. My draw to her was that she's one of the two most feared sadists in the NYC area and I was looking to test my limits, as well as feed my ego.
The honest truth is that I'd have been able to deal with her fine if she hadn't been so careless. In fact, I'm scheduled to play with the person who's considered the cream of the crop when it comes to intense play. The difference is that this person is older, more experienced and stresses safety, despite being someone few pain sluts would consider playing with.
After coming through my recent ordeal, I have no doubt that I'd thoroughly enjoy playing with the afore-mentioned person. I'm thrilled that she'd be interested in me, but we've gotten to know each other lately and she likes me enough as a person to want to play if I'd like to.

One of the most pleasant people I met at a club for celebrities I used to work at in the 80s was Franklin Cover, who played Mr. Willis on the Jeffersons.
He used to come to the club for lunch with his daughter pretty often. He wasn't snobbish or snooty. He acted like a regular person and was always pleasant and nice to me and the other employees.
