Had a fight with Sir this morning because I stayed up too late.He asked me what time I came to bed and I answered late. He reminded me that I couldn't live like a rockstar to which I replied I haven't stayed up late in months. It made me angry and frustrated.On one hand I see his point, he is looking out for my health but on the other hand I feel like he is treating me like a child. I actually said to him " Would you like to set a bedtime"? He also said he was going to spank me super hard for staying up. The sub in me wants to take the punishment but the rebel is like fuck you stop treating me like a kid. After he left I sent him a message telling him I was sorry. At this point I think we need to sit down and compromise somehow. Thoughts?

Unless I am missing a greater context to this, I think he overreacted. We all need to blow off steam from time to time and you seem to be taking care of your shit. So if you want to stay up past your bed time on a sat then you earned that right. If this was a 7days a week thing then sure he should sit you down and have a talk. Maybe he just wanted in you in bed with him when we went to sleep and was disappointed when you were not so he had a little tantrum?

I agree with LaceyK. Spankings can be for behavior, when you both recognize the silliness of the crime; but not when he thinks you've truly done something wrong, and you don't.

Staying up late is fun, and often productive, and everyone has to do it occasionally. And sometimes you just can't sleep... why waste the time trying?
