"A DAY IN THE LIFE OF POLLYTHUNDERCAT

Dear Diary,

Today was a good day. When I woke up, the shiny trinkets I collected from the bodies of tourists hadn't been stolen by monkeys like usual. I'm hoping to trade them for weaponry. You knowto kill more tourists.

When I climbed down the stilts that hold up my mud-and-banana-leaf hut, I noticed our village had been attacked by El Chupacabra again. That's a damn shame. The bastard took all our monkey's milk, but left us all the bananas we can eat. Figures.

Still overall a good daymyself and the other girls spontaneously broke into song while washing our clothes in the river, and somehow all started dancing the exact same dance, like we had rehearsed it. It was, in retrospect, somewhat surreal, but at the time we all accepted it without question.

Well, it's starting to get dark, and I've yet to sharpen my machete, weave my nightly sleeping mat, or eat dinner. Maybe I'll just eat this fruit salad I keep on my hat.
