So I like the term reactionary anarchist. My name is Steve and Im recovering from a 30 year addiction to a belief in Goverment. Once upon a time I held the Hobbesian view that man and wymn kind, left to their own devices, would make life nasty, brutish and short were it not for the interdiction of some higher authority. That authority, of course, being The State. These days though, Im over it. I do not believe that the state should have a monopoly on violence. I do not believe that violence is inherently wrong. I believe that in the face of some things, violence is not only justified, it is a moral imperative, the shirking from which only brands one a traitor to ones self and ones beliefs as well a coward. I believe that the State no longer works for the benefit of the people. I believe that the modalities in which we live, aside from being unsustainable, have diminished our lives into simple existences... working to live... living to work. I believe that much of Western Civilizations prisoners are a nation of weak minded and myopic consumers who lack what even a hundred years ago would be considered a basic corpus of knowledge for survival. I believe we are increasingly dependent on this model of living, and further believe that it ensnares us further by the day while we march along blissfully ignoring or unaware of it altogether. I believe that a life should be lived, truly lived, and should be lived as fairly and honestly as possible.
