Hominy Grits are my Powerbar.

That seems to be a ridiculous cultural development to me... the trend in the last decade to make high-calorie protein/carbo food in the shape of candy bars and market them to people on the go with names made up by a focus-group of midwestern tenth-graders like "tiger's milk" and "powerbar." Endurance racers competing in things like the Raid and Ultra Marathons wrap sticks of butter in pita bread and eat that for energy. Food is fuel; food is culture. As unappealing as the butter and pita might be, I think I'd prefer it to the idea of eating a "soy-latte mocha-almond-chocolate tiger's milk high-energy bar" six days a week and twice on Tuesdays.

There. it's out of my system.

Going biking tomorrow. First time in quite some time I've been out to Fort Clinch. They have the best trail north of Ocala/Gainesville. There's a newer trail down that way called Reddick's Razorback that I want to do either next weekend or the weekend after too. Just down the street from the old Hard Rock Quarry trail... (in Florida quarries are our only mountains) I just found out about it the other day. They have a competition every year to see who can do the most laps in 24 hours. Sounds like it might hurt, so of course, I'm considering it.

I need electrical tape for my Holga too. Who among you will hook me up? (i'm in the three-story with the cars out front and the grassy lawn... leave it on the steps, cool?)

My buddy from the first floor wants to hike a trail around two and I have to run tomorrow too... all this while my ballsack wound is still not-so-healed. I wish I had an internal scrotum. The damn things never heal. If I wore white shorts, by tomorrow night it might look like I was having a period.

...a Heavy day no doubt. smile

take care, folks

Hmm, I'm not entirely sure from your post whether you're saying you like polaroids or you don't. surreal

Either way, I just think there's something fun about that kind of the spur of the moment photography (that's not cellphone cameras... grrr at those things!), however non-true-to-life it may be. {shrugs}

Rest easy,

Oh, no problems. Sorry for doubting you! wink

I had dreams of being a photographer once upon a time, but unfortunately I listened to my father and went to business school instead, not to say I don't enjoy what I do, but I would have loved to learn more about photography.

I don't own a polaroid camera either - but I'd definitely like to someday. Perhaps I'll buy one before I go overseas to take momentos of my travels. smile

I'd definitely like to see some of your photography some time if you have some to share.
