Right now in the Southeast - my homeland for example, the state of Florida - the Black Panther and the American Crocodile are about to go extinct. Not just from Florida, but as they've been extirpated from all other regions they once inhabitated, fully Effing Extinct.
Good thing I'm over in South Africa working against the proposed Seal Cull in Lambert's Bay, huh?
"Think global, act local" isn't such a bad mantra after all.
(also the Indigo Snake is almost extinct as well, although it has a subspecies that is almost extinct in Texas as well)

Two of my friends were chased last night by four men - likely armed - coming back to the boat. This doesn't make me happy.
