Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag
I don't know much about these guys, I hear they are still doing well in the UK or something but I hear about that with most obscure/One Hit Wonder bands.
I love this song though, one of the only few that will actually "Bring Me Back" to when things were good. I think about my Uncle who also really liked this song but passed away a few years later. I was in my graduating year and none of this 9/11 terrorist bullshit happened and whether I beleived it or not, times were really good.
This is one of those weird songs where it can come on my iPod or my computer and depending on the mood I am in, I sit there and take it in...I think of all those stupid American Pie movies and what I was doing when this song came out or I will shut it off or change it because I don't want to think about it.
Not that I am not happy where I am now, Look at my last post for example. I love my wife and my friends and I have a job I enjoy, but this song takes me to a much simpler time in my life and sometimes I miss it deeply.
Scary thing is, this song is going to get more and more "weird" for me as I get older and I get farther away from that time in my life.
