So, my road trip is effectively over. I had intended to spend the majority of the time in California, particularly the bay area, when some personal matters cut that short. Once my family is not hurting so badly, I will be making my way down again. Sorry to those of you I did not have a chance to see, my absence was not personal. In addition to the family with whom I stayed, I had a chance to only really see a single chatter while in Cali, before shit hit the fan, and once I have taken care of some things I will be getting in my car and visiting again. Know it pains me to flake on any, let alone many of you. It was not by design that I left when I did and I hope you'll still be as keen to spend some time with me when next I return in a couple months.
I paid a ridiculous amount of money to sleep in an overpriced dive motel last night and am getting back in my car and driving the rest of the way home in a single shot to fulfil my familial responsibility despite it not yet being check-out time. I had fun, wish it could have been longer but life has, again, gotten in the way of play. This is merely a post to ask forgiveness and when I am back in Vancouver later today or tomorrow I will write further of my adventures to this point. To those of you who let me stay and spent time with me while I had it to spare, your company and hospitality are greatly appreciated; to those of you I missed, I hope you'll allow me to make it up to you during my next visit and not view my absence as a slight. Sorry for being so brief.
