It's really depressing for me to think about the fact that my making twenty-something bones and hour is as good as I can hope for presently whereas my older brother is a year or two away from making 7-9 hundred thousand bucks a year. I really need to continue my schooling if I'm to ever succeed relative to my own family.

You should learn a foreign language and move to another country and stop evaluating yourself angainst your family or anyone else. Entertain no thought of any sort of obstruction on your own path.
