meh.. watching and hearing stuff about the oil spill is making me sick. My friends that live on the coast of louisiana talk about how awful it is.. even my friend all the way over to flordia was telling me earlier how theres now tar balls at her favorite beach and shes talking about moving.. my family makes a yearly trip to flordia I can't imagine it with tar fluffs and clumps.. gross. there isnt any easy fix or really even much of a hard fix for the damage thats already been done. anyways...
So, I've decided I'm going to donate bone marrow! Today I signed up for www.bethematch.org
The kids from Lebohneur and St Jude back home in Memphis TN have been weighing on my mind. I miss doing volunteer work at those places. I still make blankets to send to the parents for their newborns in the pallative care program. When my own son was in pallative care, small gifts donated by people meant sooo much to me because it showed other people out there that I dont even know care. and that means the whole world to a parent with a very sick child. Those kids and families have really amazing outlooks on life. I've been a blood donor, I've even been an egg donor, now I'm going to be a bone marrow donor. its the only thing I can think of to at least do SOMEthing for someone out there that might be able to greatly help them. I should be getting the kit in the mail in about a week, I gotta swab my cheeks and return them to the center and I guess they go from there on matching my marrow with someone out there who needs it.
In other news... my American Hardcore DVD finally came in the mail today!! Yay for Amazon.com!

I live right at the spot the oil spill is hitting. Me and alot of my friends are trying to help. My friends are helping clean it up, but I can not go outside during daylight hours for risk of getting really sick and going to the hospital. It is really bad the endangered species of the sea turtle and manatee's are really suffering for this. There is no plan to relocate them as of yet. That is what I am trying to work on. So far no avail yet.
