today was emotional.
i had the worst experience ever with a passenger at work. a student, who didn't have her ID, refused to get off my bus when i informed her i couldn't let her ride. "no, i can't accept a syllabus. ID only." "i understand that a previous driver may have let u on, but i can't. i can only accept u're ID." the cops were called. she got talked down to by them, and my boss,... but she still got the ride. while i had to wait for the cops, she ran back to her apartment to get her ID.
i cried before i got back on the bus. all i wanted to do was my job the way it is suppose to be done. i did everything i was suppose to. why do people feel like they need to bully and push until they get their way? i cried and all i wanted was someone's arms to enfold me and to cry with them holding me.
the worst, tho, was she accused me of racism. she said i was doing this because she was chinese. i didn't know what race she was, nor did i care. i have refused rides to actual shuttle drivers because they didn't have thier IDs. i do my job and i do it right. it's just sometimes it's really hard.
on a lighter note: ask youself two questions.
1. are you free this wednesday?
2. do u like jason mraz?

sux that work was stressful. you drive a shuttle for whom? i'm outta the loop (naturally). it is very cool that you have a strong sense of integrity about the whole thing. i think that's good.
