I can't wait! My new guitar comes in a couple of days. I couldn't afford to get the one I wanted (an Epiphone Les Paul, cream on black) so I got a cheaper black Les Paul Special II model. It sucks but what can I do? I'll get the one I want in a few weeks. I'll have to kill myself at work but I don't mind.
As you can tell, I'm a guitar nut. I originally started off as a bassist but when I turned 24, I decided to try my hand at guitar. It's been a long, strange trip. My first guitar was a BC Rich Warlock (hello??? The 80's called and said they want your guitar back...) but then I moved up to a used Epiphone Les Paul. It was a bit on the high side for a used guitar but was well worth the price. But I only had a soft case for it and the movers broke it when moving me in here so I've been guitarless for the last 3 years. But I got a longing for it again when my friends husband called me to see if I had another guitar for sale cause my friend broke the one I sold him (at one time, I had 4 guitars going but I traded 2 of them in to get the Les Paul . 2 guitars and $300 bucks and I sold my friends husband the BC Rich Bich that I had). So I've been having pangs of longing for the ol six string.
This time I was smart though, I bought a hard case for this puppy so hopefully I'll have it for awhile. I can't wait to get it out and start strumming my favorite Jeff Buckley tunes! This is going to be fun

Wow! A custom shop guitar.... that must be so cool. I'll get there eventually. I'm pacing myself right now. LOL! If you don't mind my asking, how much did the Gibson run you? I know that Epiphone is the "cheap line" Gibson but I've heard that the sound is phenominal on the Gibson.
I've also been looking at Ibanez guitars. I've never played one but I've heard that the pick ups are awesome on them and Guitar Center has a starter pack Ibanez (amp, guitar, gig bag and guitar) on sale. But for some reason, I'm a Les Paul girl. I love them. Maybe someday I'll get a Gibson Les Paul but that will probably be when i'm in my 50's. When I can afford one. LOL!
