It rained hard the night before I bid farewell to my beautiful Tennessee. The next morning, the whole world had the most intense smell and feeling of growth. It was about eighty degrees, out, and the air was perfectly still. When I touched down in Boston, the temperature was around thirty-nine and the sky was completely overcast. Since then, it has begun raining without any foreseeable end after two days.

All this beastly weather begs a certain question. Why the hell do people live here? Rain, in Boston, isn't revitalizing. It doesn't make the world feel fresh and new because there isn't any -world- to be rendered unto such a state. Rain in Boston is simply wet.

Not that it was ever really in question, but I'm definitely headed in a southerly direction once I'm finished with my under-grad.
