The saga continues:...
So.. I ring another staff member to get his opinion as to what I should do, he tells me John told him "we'll see what happens in the morning", and that it was best to go back in in the morning so John didn't think I had left for good. Liz (she is about 45) was there when I got there, I told her what had happened yesterday and she was totally on my side and said she admired my guts, hehe. She knows he is known for his horrid temper, and apparently one other girl a year or so ago had tried to get him for harassment and bullying (which was an interesting story on it's own). Anyhoo, John finally got there, and we started to chat, but he began to verbally attack me again and tell me that I can't walk back in if I walked out, while Liz was there seeing the whole thing....so yeah, I turned around and walked out again, and this time I definately won't be going back.
It kinda makes me happy - I don't want to work for a cunt like that, but now I have to find another job, and how am I going to cope without air con or money this summer??? *cries*. He is going to have to cope with one less senior staff member in two already extremely short staffed stores, at the busiest time of the year. It's going to be hard for him, too.
What's worse is that I was only one and a half days into this months pay period
I'm going to cancel the couple of laybys I have at the moment, so that will give me a little extra money, but damn - it's Christmas
But I just figured... as I haven't officially put in a resignation.. and he told me not to bother coming back, so technically he fired me and I believe I am entitled to a months notice as agreed in our contract (or a months pay) and my holiday payout! Woot, lol.
I am going to go into the Valley tomorrow to take back my uniforms, and the Varakai ticket (I am tempted to sell it and will need the money, but I don't want to completely burn my bridges). I am also going to see Maurie at Domayne - I used to work with him for TOFS originally, and if he can't get me a job, he can at least be my good TOFS reference! The other owners I managed for have gone overseas
