I have a question...
Are people ignorant, or stupid, or just plain illiterate? Or am I missing something....
I currently have an ad up on realestate.com advertising for a new housemate (by the way, if you know anyone who needs somewhere to live let me know
)... The ad specifically states that we work 9-5:30 and won't be able to answer our phones during that time, and I request for them to call after hours or send an email. Despite this, I continue to get at least ten calls during the day from people wanting to look at the room. I happened to answer the phone to one of the first girls who rang yesterday (before I started ignoring the calls out of frustration), and told her to 'please phone me tonight as I'm at work and don't have time to talk', she didn't, but proceeds to call me at the same time today! I ignore her this time, and she leaves a message... Seriously, I don't get it. They are obviously on the net seeing the ad, so why don't they just send an email as I suggest? Oh, and then you get the people that just say in the email "Hi, I am wondering if the room is still available, I'd like to have a look". *sigh* They don't seem to like making it easy for us, lol. I am sooo over looking for people 
So after the big rant about my promotion last week, I find out on Tuesday (after my day off) that it was technically a DEmotion! Another staff member apparently chucked the shits and told everyone he was leaving if he wasn't given a management position, so he was given mine
. Worse though, is when I questioned everyone at work as to why said staff member was now writing 'store manager' after his name, I was told "Oh, boss was too scared to tell you, he knew you'd be pissed off". Fucking awesome. I am thinking I'm out as soon as I find another job. Right at Christmas, too - I hope it hurts him. Anyone got any sales jobs going?

As for the ad - I hate it when people don't remove their ads when the room is taken. So you call up and they get all narky at you because the room was taken 5 days ago. Well here's a tip cocksmoker - REMOVE YOUR AD then you won't get phone calls.
Works for both the enquirer and advertiser. People are just stupid in general unfortunately.
