Wooo

I had a nice night last night... We had Indian love for dinner (OMG my indian shop makes THE best...) then pigged out on Champagne with strawberry & chocolate fondue. I also had a good share of West Coast coolers....Oh my god, they are so easy to drink and taste good and don't make me hungover. I might add that they were the first drink...

Wooo! So I got my promotion....

but not quite what I wanted. I'm now the Senior Sales Manager for the Valley store, and sometimes at Jindalee as well, which is crap. I was told "Kate, you'll be the store manager without being the store manager". Everyone answers to me and I answer to the owner. Honestly though, I'd rather have the store manager title than...

I finally tore shreds off my housemate today. All I can say is.... Oh my god, how much better do I feel..... I pretty much told her if she couldn't act respectfully and responsibly I was giving her a month's notice. She apologised profusely and told me she 'promised to pay more attention to what she is doing this time'. See, that's what she said...

OOhhhhhh that was a looong day at work. Funny how my day started, though. We must have had a blackout this morning, because my alarm didn't go off. I woke up thinking "Oh, my alarm hasn't gone off, I think I'll go back to sleep". Then I realised how light and warm it felt, and when I looked over at my alarm clock it was...

Eeeeesh.

I'm having one of those random moments (well, long random moments) where I was perfectly happy one second then depressed and angry as fuck the next. I can't even say what caused it.....I guess getting so frustrated over my housemate isn't helping. You know when you have just soooo had enough of someone you just want to tell the to get the fuck out...

Yep, I know exactly what you're talking about. Those random moments suck, I have them quite a bit... just remember, the pendulum swings both ways, and you'll be feeling better in time. smile

Shitty housemates? Get 'em outta your life - trust me. People face enough shit in their lives without having the place they go to escape being an uncomfortable environment. It's your choice, but if I was in your position I'd tell this person to GTFO.

As far as meeting interesting people goes... are you going to the SGAU meet-up tomorrow night, by any chance?
necrosis:
And so you should! Put your own interests first - as horrible as it may sound in writing, more often than not it's the right choice, at least in my experience.

And yes, I'll be there tomorrow night, although I'm showing up a bit later - around 8:30 or so. I too will be one of the loners, as all my friends are going to see Darklord at the Basement... I'm a bit worried about showing up alone, so if you see me, feel free to come say hello!

Time for another bitch if you care to read tongue

Ooonce again my female housemate has succeeded in the 'piss Kate off as much as possible' division this week. Not only did she nearly set our house on fire a few nights ago (no seriously - she really did!), but she has also left the back door unlocked AND wide open thee times in a fortnight....

Some c*nted animal ran over me while I was in bed and now I can't sleep.

I'm not usually scared of bugs/spiders but this one felt cold and yukky, and when they crawl on me in a relaxed state and scare me it makes me not happy Jan.

A couple of friends and I are going to have a 'kids movie night' sometime soon, in...

You're dead on with the tone of Willow. That guy played the lead ewok in Return of the Jedi, too. Yay useless movie trivia!

Castle of Cagliostro I would do as a live action film. I have a friend who looks exactly like the main guy; and he is an actor. It's paced so well, it'll be impossible for the studio to turn down. I'm think Universal studios with a $60 million budget.

I've never had anything crawl over me whilst I was asleep because when i sleep i annihilate everything in the general vicinity!!! biggrin

It'd be nice for a girl to do so, though. I wouldn't annihilate her. Especially if I liked her. If I liked her I'd cook her breakfast tongue
punchdrunkblake:
Pancakes and margaritas for breakfast? Can we get married yet? tongue

Fortunately I'm not a snorer. I used to be; then I got tonsilitis and they gutted my throat and adjoining nasal cavities. I am log man, now, and I sleep as such biggrin

Soo yeah. First day back at work after my not-so-holi holidays. Since I've been gone, the business has been sold and I went back to work today to find out whether I keep my job or not. Thankfully, I will not find out for another month, or until the new people take over. However after much other crap*, I did find out my current bosses...

Ahhh thank you to all those reading material suggestions....I'm lucky, my sister works in the library ^_^
Hopefully I'll cross them off one by one...

Just watched a really good film, Waking Life, which I had never heard of before tonight. My film student housemate tells me it was actually filmed with real people, then traced over and turned in an animation.Very, VERY thought...

One thing I despise about holidays is how your body clock reacts to it - 3 years of getting up at the same time every morning doesn't go down well when you REALLY want to and actually have the opportunity to sleep in. But lucky me... not only did my body clock wake me up at 7am this morning, but also my housemate playing some...

Umm I have kinda come to a brick wall when it comes to the fantasy genre probably read too much of it as a teen and now it is hard to find something that I feel is both original and a good read.. I guess I can only say that if you haven't read the Memory, Sorrow and Thorn series by Tad Williams then they are worth picking up at least when I read them they were again could be a different story now.
