Well life has gotten busy all of a sudden and it all started on my birthday. Got a phone call mid-morning from my Landlord which I expected to be about a gas engineer visit to look at our boiler. I don't think I could've been more emphatically wrong however when he broke the news that he and the landlady were separating! The upshot for the wife and I is that they'll be selling the house though fortunately, for now, with us in it. Their plan is to sell to an investor who will take the house and tenants as one complete package. From discussions it means we've got to make the house and us look good so the investors are willing to buy the property as if it doesn't sell that way they'll just put it on the market and we'll be looking for a new home! Personally I hope the former will happen as I feel we're both quite settled here and it's also added stress which, given that our relationship is still very much in the mending phase, we could do without.

On the upside though we're getting a new kitchen
