Okay, time for a quick update on my life...
The director for the PCS production of King Lear said that I didn't fit in his vision for a modern adaptation - Not too much of a surprise since he asked my age as he introduced himself to me before the audition. But, man, my shoulders were hurtin' for the next few days - he had us all do 15 push-ups, and I didn't cop out and do "girly" ones.
I saw a sneak preview of "Cellular" the Tuesday before it opened. Definitely a movie worth seeing.
I auditioned for Tapestry Theatre last week - they're doing a 1945 "radio broadcast" Christmas show. They left a message for me on Friday to call them back. So, I called them back today and they said they couldn't use me. It's not so bad, but they could've just said so in the message - not force me to exert extra effort just to find that out.
My parents just celebrated their 26th Wedding anniversary.
My co-worker finally got his promotion to Assistant Manager (as we've been expecting). And, since there are just 3 of us at the moment, I'm consistantly getting 40 hour work weeks. My boss has also done my review and I'll be getting a raise (retroactive to the date) as soon as the District Manager gives the okay.
Tomorrow, my Dad and I are going to a preview for "Shaun of the Dead". Ads for it have been playing on the video at work, some sort of british romantic horror comedy - looks like fun.
[Update 9/21: While I don't think it'll winning any awards, Shaun of the Dead is definitely worth a watch. A great B movie]
[Update 9/24: Yup, I'm definately thinking I have a thing for girls with 'L' in their name...]
