43 Days to go...(every time I do a workout related entry I put the count down)
today will be my first day back in the pool in almost 2 weeks...they closed for a week and the day they were to be back open I had a swim scheduled, but they did not re-open on time and my work sched kept me away until now...
Hopefully it will all go well with the wetsuit...the last time I went to the pool I did 30 laps(1500yrds)...does not sound like much, but the first time in the suit I did 5 laps(250yrds) and I was red faced and panting...I was doing 70 laps (3500yrds) before without the wetsuit with little or now difficulty...I think the swim will be a little harder than I had first thought, but I will make it...
Saturday I have my last long bike ride before the big day...it shall be my first ever 100mile bike....should take just under 7 hrs or so...next week I think it is a long run...and the week after a long brick...then I start my taper(start cutting back on my workouts so my muscles are at there best on race day)...I hate tapers you always feel sluggish like you're not doing enough...but they do work...
Ever think there was something you could not do? Every try anyway?....

This kid here is -not- laughing at 30 laps in a pool, by any means. Sounds pretty intense.

Sounds like a rigorous workout! That is going to be one hell of a bike ride.... I need to get more active myself. Snowboarding season is right around the corner.... I should make like a hamster and hit the gym.
