It's amazing how one seemingly small step can send your life careening into something you only dreamt it could be. I had a feeling (a big one) that moving to Austin was that step. Guess what? I was right
. I'm insanely happy. Everyday is a bigger, better adventure. Not to mention, I have the greatest person to journey with... my wonderful Gishimpish 
. Just yesterday was our one month. One whole fucking month! I can't believe how fast time is flying! This Sunday, I'll have been in Texas for a month! Bonus good news: I found my card reader . Prepare your eyeballs for a plethora of visual stimuli!And now, we must travel back in time... to before I left Michigan... to a time when I couldn't find my card reader. In other words, I have pictures and a bit more esplaining to go along with them.
&hearts October 4-9th: Packing wasn't horrible. I've got me some OCD, so I methodically got everything I need and really want crammed into five boxes and a steamer trunk. My birthday was a bit hectic to pack on; madly cramming last minute presents in the trunk and sealing clothes in space bags (those things don't really work). Ya know, being the day before I left.

&hearts October 5th: Gish flew up! I was so excited that my hand was madly shaking as I fed the parking sticker in the machine on the way out.

.&hearts October 10th: Finally fucking left Michigan for good. We drove about 12 hours that day; alternating every 2-3. Stopped just outside of Texarkana for the night.

Later was an SG Austin meet, but we left Faire with enough time to putz on South Congress in a store called Uncommon Objects. I had a medical geek gasm at one of the booths. Well, I gasmed in general... I wish I could buy the whole booth .
Will someone please buy this for me!?

&hearts October 25th: I actually got the job, so Gish and I went out for dinner to celebrate .
