Saturday, Gishimpish and I went to hang out with one of his friends. After a lovely dinner and some absolutely terribly acted live action show on Cartoon Network (live action on Cartoon Network alone makes me sad), we decided to go costume hunting. Gish's band is playing two shows where they need costumes. They're gonna be Tenacious D and the devil for one (I so wish this wasn't on tour so I could get some killer photos), and Mario, Donkey Kong, and Link for a show on November 2nd.
CALLING ALL AUSTINITES! The show in November is held by the Austin Indie Alliance at They Dirty Dog Bar. They demand and deserve a big turn out. Wear a costume, bring a few bucks for raffle (the big prize of the night is an Ipod Shuffle

Anyway, I tagged along cause I'm the "smart and frugal", "creative genious". I'm gonna be embroidering a Mario hat, altering some boot covers for Link, and making DK's tie. We picked up most of the supplies at Goodwill, but went to Lucy in Disguise (clever, ne?) for details. I'M IN LOVE WITH THAT STORE! There are oh so many costume supplies and prosthetics and wigs and hats and costumes and... AND... [gasms and falls off chair]. There was a room of boots. A room of boots! And a room of furries! And they had great fetish stuff! They have the hottest black, vinyl dress. Must.try.on.some.day . On to food we went to complete an amazing day.
Yesterday, [drum roll] I BECAME PART OF A BURLESQUE TROOP! I joined the lovely BlueValentine in her troop, Big Star Burlesque, along with bbbbbeckah. She's a n00b too . I'm also going to be getting a start into fetish modeling and I may just get a job at a lingerie factory type thingy making custom order lingerie
. [happiest happy dance the world has ever known]
I have no idea what's on the agenda for today aside from charging my camera's batteries. That's why I don't have any picture for you guys; my camera's batteries died . I promise pictures ASAP though. LOVE TO ALL
