Today is a very special day for me on SG. Today is my 1 year anniversary of "Up In the Attic", my debut set shot by Issac White, better known as Cymagen. This day marks a very special moment in time for me, because yes, it was my break through, but also because it was the very first set Issac shot for SG.
Since that set, he's shot oodles of hot, naked women for the site. It makes me happy to see his name go up so often, as I feel partially responsible. Not responsible for the photography, but responsible that SG and Issac have created so many memorable sets. The site would be a lot different without him, and although I hope he pursues artistic endevours of his own, I always await new sets from him to see how he evolves, and who he gets naked next! Yah! So, Issac.. here's a big "fuck yeah" to us. 1 year baby!
I'd also like to say, that this past year has delivered to you 2 Pistolita sets, and 1 rockin' video. That's a lot of nakedness for 365 days a year. That's a new naked Pistolita for you, every 4 months, and that is a staggering statistic considering there have been so many girls on this site. To have 3 sets a year is flattering, and I'm hoping that my stats can only improve to 4 sets a year.
I love the work I do for SG, I love the girls I've met in the year I've been "live", and I love the community that has supported me through some really tough times. You continually follow my blogs, as lame as they are sometimes, but it means the world to me. You've donated your time and money to help me out, buying prints and calendars in my time of need. You've sent me hundreds of fan letters over the past year or so, and I've been so unbelievably flattered. Through the group Pin Ups for soldiers, I've been able to single handedly write our troops and thank them in the form of letters and photographs. Receiving the thank you letters from half the world away is enough to bring me to tears. That's impact. That's affecting other people's lives. And that's wonderful that a regular ass girl like me can do such things.
I've met some of my closest girlfriends on this site. I can't tell you how great it is to buy a plane ticket to somewhere you've never been, to sleep in a room with girls you've never met before. It's the spontinatety that my life sometimes needs to let me know I'm a young, thriving 22 year old woman. I've worked with some of my now favorite photographers (cough, Steve Prue, cough, cough Issac) multiple times, and can't thank my SG "career" enough for that. I now have beautiful pen gal-pals from around the world, and I've met my idols (i.e. Vanessa, London, Nixon). If I inspire one girl to look inside herself and see the potential and beauty that she herself has to share with the world, then I've done my job, as they did for me.
Wow, look at all those paragraphs starting with I. If this were a real speech, the music would have started in paragraph two. I thank you for your generosity, your comments, your e-mails, your words of wisdom, your joining my group (insert shout out to Band Girlfriends here), your fan art, your critiques, your love and your support. I can't thank you enough. There are no words for the gratitude I hold for you. You, my fans, are why I'm here. Without you, I'm just another naked girl on the internet. Because of you, I now believe that some day, girls like me will be the mainstream. We will proudly walk down the runways at fashion shows, and be considered local goddesses instead of putting anorexic models with an ego centeric nature on a pedestal. Instead of Naomi Campbell, women like us will be the ideal. Women will strive to be us. Until then, thank you for asking for more. More, more, more. Demand it. Demand that the world change it's views of beauty.
