pissed

I called out sick today cause I have testing for this other job in Kirkland today from 1-5pm. The job pays more but is like 11 miles from my house vs. the 1 mile my current job is. Working for "the phone company" I get 50% off of my phone bill too, but I hate my job. It's not so much the job, but the people. They are so rude & because of the union-I am not allowed to cuss them out like they do me. It's funny how when people do things like show up late, don't show up at all, go to the gym while they are still logged in at work, etc-they get pissed at the person who writes them up? WTF! This is what I deal with all day-so I've decided to seriously look for other employment. It's hard to change up cause I've been there for 5+ years & after that amount of time the "benefits" start to add up-but I've decided that my face is more important than the dough in my pocket. So y'all wish me luck that I'll do well on the testing and get invited for an interview.
In other news did you know that credit card companies will give you gift cards for signing up with them?? I just got 2 50$ gift cards for Home Depot (I got them for my parents who are building their house) & a 100 one for anywhere I pretty much want (haven't decided yet)!! Yeah it's true, go to www.citicards.com and the other one, I think it's giftcards.com & look at whatcha gotta do-it's really simple. One of them made me use the card before they'd send me the 50 gift card-but damn who cares-it's free $$$!! and we all love us some free $$. Happy Thursday!
