there is a boy that both me and adam have a wicked crush on
it is mostly platonic
but there were people all around him
and he just sat there and read charles bukowski
it was very endearing

so i walked up to him and started talking to him
and we exchanged phone numbers
and we all drank gin
i drove drunk, stupid, stupid. . .
i am unable to discount people anymore
i am sick of trying to hate people
like they possess no redeemable qualities. . .
because it would seem that most individuals do.

regardless if you sometimes do shitty things
