I just read some great Punisher comics written by Garth Ennis. Very bloody and intense. I especially like the one titled "The Cell." The Punisher infiltrates Rikers Island and settles the score with some imprisoned mobsters. I really enjoy it because the art is dark, and the writing is pure grit. On the first page the the story tells of the mob bosses having transexual male inmates pleasure them. It's great, I love it when the most homophobic people are fags behind closed doors. Seek this story out, it's worth it. They may have the graphic novel at your local library.



R.I.P. Oliver Mendoza 1971-2009

I was never able to meet him, but I am an admirer of his work. I just learned of his death today, and I am really disappointed at fate's choice. AnnieCruz was communicating with him, and they were going to work together, and he was also going to come seePlan 9. I never met him, but Annie and I share an office, and she would read his messages aloud. Through his messages, and by seeing his work, he seemed like a very upbeat person, with good positive energy. I wish I could have met the guy and put on a good show for him.

Just another reminder of what we all need to do. Cherish, and take the hand of someone who reaches out. Because the universe is unjust, all the talented people with good hearts will be taken from us, while the scum thrive and survive off our souls.
