Thats a big ass storm, and its just hooked north and its heading straight for Okinawa!!!

They're already speaking of "SUPER typhoon" status (hurricane Katrina sized or bigger) on this bad boy earlier today when I looked it up it was pushing category 2 and upgraded later to category 3 and its still building now its looking more like a category 4.... (just confirmed cat 4 now) All I know is that tonight I moved my wall lockers in front of my window after drawing the blinds. About the only thing that's going to do is stop flying glass when an object slams into the building at over 150 mph only to send splinters everywhere along with glass... maybe not that bad but its better then nothing between the glass and the storm.

I'll keep the updates as things progress till I lose either power or internet... its not a matter of if but when I'm afraid.

On another note things have actually been going pretty well for me here lately. Yesterday I got to participate in a humanitarian aid exercise. I got to meet up with some pretty cool counter parts that are stationed here on Oki. The laptop (after much hassles with the Sony rep) is working pretty good on 1/3 the RAM it came with and I've gotten to speak with my hot wife a few times and catch up on all the excitement she's had over the last few days. That in itself did a number on my own well being and it may also be a big part of why I feel like things are going pretty well here, it was a huge morale booster. I've been gone for a total of 2 months and I've got 4 to go till I get home so I feel like I'm starting to get to the point where I can see the half way point just around the corner. I'm really hoping that once we get on ship to head out things will really start to fly and I'll be on my way home before I know it. Out of nowhere big Navy decided to finally make good on a travel claim for a few hundred bucks at a much needed time, so I'm thinking that karma is swinging our way again.
